About The Mills
Our Grandad, Frank Rothwell snr (Old Frank) used to take our father (who used to be young Frank) on his rounds delivering fuel to businesses in the North West during school holidays in an attempt to keep him out of mischief! The former young Frank remembers coming to this site delivering fuel in the 1950’s or 1960’s with his father.
We are custodians of this land, for Oldham’s future generations and we have the opportunity to regenerate a former industrial site to the advantage of the community of Oldham as a whole. This site’s industrial heritage goes way back to the industrial revolution and in 1896 became home to Ferranti, and latterly Siemens, who we purchased it from.
When Hollinwood centre made way for the building of the M60, Frank Rothwell wanted to make sure that Hollinwood didn’t end up being lost forever, so Frank erected a ‘Hollinwood’ sign on the embankment of the M60 in 2009 which made nationwide news. Hopefully, The Mills Hollinwood will be a longer-lasting tribute to the area which gave way to providing better transport links for Greater Manchester.
We are a second-generation family business with Oldham at our heart. We live and work in Oldham. Since 2002 we have operated our businesses Manchester Cabins, Bunkabin, and Another Level Car Parks from a site within Hollinwood. We are passionate about investing in Oldham and the future of Oldham. We believe in investing in high-quality offices that recognise Oldham’s proud, rich heritage, future generations will benefit from high-quality jobs for Oldham and surrounding areas.

Suffragette Annie Kenney forged a new world by fighting for women’s right to vote and better working conditions for all, so we couldn’t think of anyone better to inspire this initial project to create premium office space for businesses in Oldham.
